CRAFT CREATE

A Holiday Gifting Mood Board.

November 21, 2015

I love giving gifts. Always have, always will. But it wasn’t until a few years ago that I developed a deep appreciation for the packaging that a gift comes in. Sometimes, it’s the box, the paper, or the ribbon, but I am a deep believer that a beautifully wrapped package elevates a gift to something that much more special.

Since the holiday season is such a big gifting season, I like to go in with a bit of a vision, as it makes shopping and crafting a little more organized (and inspiring!) for me. This year, I decided to create a holiday gifting mood board.

The leaf-pressed paper has been a long-time favorite, good for every season; the purple, chocolatey color with flecks of gold leaf is a recent find, and the wrinkled copper paper really looks like metal. The photo print is from my Instagram and was printed via Artifact Uprising, while the wooden tree decals are from my Messy Box subscription.

But ever since I’ve received this, I’ve aspired to incorporate these colors into my every day life. I always think there’s something special about using a sentimental piece as a root for inspiration.

I hope you’re having an inspiring, lovely holiday season too!
