Holiday Mood Board: 2016

November 23, 2016

holiday mood board, creativestay, crafting, gifts, a beautiful mess, diyI am so happy to have the holidays right around the corner– this has been a long year, and I think we’re all due some festivity. This also means it’s time for my 2016 holiday mood board! Just like last year, I went through all of my art and craft supplies and pulled together an assortment of materials I’ll use and be inspired by for all of my wrapping and decor this season.

I’ll probably never use it up, just so that I can admire it forever. Alex’s mom gave me the handmade booklet, which I’ve continuously referred to for inspiration. Its colors have had a small-but-mighty influence on my aesthetic this season.

I snagged the gold wire basket on the right at Anthropologie, and have been using it for kitchen produce. The gold accents on both of these pieces make me smile every day.

Including small, meaningful pieces from my home gives the whole process and project some weight. Just like everything I create, family tends to play a part 🙂

It still makes my world go ’round. I’ve always been loyal to that small paper shop in Berkeley, but now that I’ve moved across the country, have been looking into other options. SHARE Studios caught my eye a while back, and I actually purchased two of her handmade lamps a little over a year ago. I’ll probably invest in a few of her handmade papers soon– the feather blend makes me swoon.

holiday mood board, creativestay, crafting, gifts, a beautiful mess, diyI hope you enjoyed this post! I am personally super excited to bring all these colors into the fast-approaching holiday season. What are you inspired by these days?
