Traveling Bali: Nusa Dua, Canggu + Seminyak

bali indonesia canggu seminyak travel On the last few days of our Bali trip (check out parts one and two!) we chose to stay at a villa in Nusa Dua, since it was near the airport and full of private beaches. Upon arrival, we quickly realized this area was built for tourists and felt very much like a Disney resort. The good news: since we found our immediate area to be lacking, we explored new neighborhoods (namely Seminyak and Canggu).

I came home with an amazing wooden sculpture and pretty great photos… don’t ask me what a pain it was to bring that sculpture home. I had to negotiate sooo much with the airline, but eventually got it back to NYC in one piece!

It’s a coastal village with a ton of Australians and a very relaxed vibe. We also came across what was probably my favorite restaurant of the entire trip: Shady Shack.

It was, hands down, the most magical trip I’ve ever been on. Ever. I’m going to try and top it with a couple of trips I have up my sleeve––stay tuned!
