Engaged in Yosemite.

I’ve gone on some incredible trips these past few months, but one of the most significant was my trip to California to see family and visit Yosemite.

I had been looking forward to this trip to months, and the quality time with family and nature did not disappoint. Alex and I spent a few days in the Bay Area and then made our way to Yosemite with my little sister for some hiking and photography.

On our first day in Yosemite, Alex proposed! The sun was setting one Sentinel Dome and my sister, Alex and I were roaming around the meadows in the valley when she called out how nice the spot was and that we ought to pose for a picture.

I turned to the camera and smiled, before realizing Alex hadn’t joined me. I looked over at him and saw that he was down on one knee, holding the most beautiful ring. He told me how much he love me and asked me to marry him.

So many happy tears followed by champagne and days spent in the most beautiful place I know.

So, so grateful and excited for this next chapter of life. Also incredibly inspired by the challenge of throwing an event that properly thanks the folks we love most and celebrates our union.
