Last weekend, a great dude I know turned 30. Not only that, but it was his first time celebrating a birthday with his 7 month-old son in tow. A big group of us surprised him in Yosemite, and we had a weekend full of bonfires and rivers and offroading and one adorable baby Atticus. More on all that later. 🙂
What I’m focusing on today is the time leading up to his birthday, and my pursuit of the perfect gift. Lucky for me, I found the gift after scrolling through my instagram and catching a glimpse of these sweaters from @tosanknowsbest. If you ever find yourself looking for gifts for new dads, check them out. I immediately shared them with my dude and said we needed to grab these before the weekend. What makes it even better is that their last name is Totten. Tot. Totten. It kills me!
I wrapped these sweaters up in blue and gold tissue, and tucked them into a simple mailer box. Wrapped up the whole package in wood grain paper, and made a card out of an Artifact Uprising print wrapped in some hand-pressed Japanese rice + leaf paper. The kraft alpha stickers are from A Beautiful Mess. All washi tape used is mt tape– always and forever.
It was a lovely weekend, and on the last day these dudes donned their new crew sweaters. Here they are, posing in all their pop and tot glory just after the sun rose. If you’re struggling to come up with a gift for new dads + their kiddos, I highly recommend Tosan. American made goods, just for all your hip dad friends.
