Because I live out in the east bay (and work in the city), I rarely find myself spending my precious days off in San Francisco. This weekend, things went a little differently–my friend Allison was getting married, and my dude & I decided to make a weekend of it. The wedding took place at the Phoenix hotel, which was the perfect dose of Palm Springs for me. In the morning, we decided to go for a walk and find some breakfast. I saw some cool and aesthetically pleasing things along the way, and thought you might like them too:
Allison walking down the aisle– her bridal march was Everlasting Light by the Black Keys. Such a great moment.
The Phoenix bar is where the reception took place. How amazing is this light up sign? I want one!
The courtyard is so dreamy in the morning.
Checked out, and ready to hit the streets. I love this font. And all the colors of this place.
We decided to walk to breakfast. It was awesome to take one last look and realize Zio Ziegler was all over the place.
We found this tiny little place in Tender Nob called farm:table. Croissant sandwiches, a mocha & espresso, and focaccia with mascarpone + fresh fruit to share. There was only one table inside, with everyone crowded around it.
Some of my favorite days are the ones where I can make the split-second decision to poke my head inside of a shop. Today I ended up inside of Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, and Nico Studio (above). The shopkeeper told me a little about the studio, and all the artists that make things there. I’ll definitely be back.
Buildings on our way back to the car. I love these colors, and brick buildings with that much texture.
Thanks for looking at the city with me. Sometimes, I forget how interesting and inspiring it is. Let this be a reminder!

I love farm:table and Mr. Holmes! I’ll have to check out Nico Studio next time I’m in that area.
also lol at the name Tender Nob 😉
Haha @TMO- It was amazing. Doesn’t farm:table remind you of NYC? And yeah, Studio Nico is beautifully merchandised, and they do a bunch of screen printing in house!
