In recent years, I’ve found that the folks who inspire me most tend to show up in my life again and again until I recognize their power. Keiko Brodeur, also known as Small Adventure, is one of those folks.
I first discovered her stunning cards back when I worked at a gift shop in 2013. I looked forward to every shipment we’d receive, and merchandise accordingly. Ever since, I find myself combing through all the gift shops near me in Brooklyn to find Keiko’s latest.
She has been illustrating paper goods since 2009, focusing on whimsical paintings of nature that make me want to go camping straightaway. Her respect for the planet is evident beyond her illustrations. All her card sleeves are plant-based and biodegradable, and all packing materials are reused.
